Epoxy floors, durable and resistant

Epoxy resins, due to their high chemical resistance, excellent mechanical properties and easy maintenance, are widely used in industrial and commercial buildings, and recently also in households.

1

Anti-slip epoxy floors are a popular choice in all areas that require high mechanical resistance, resistance to various types of chemicals, as well as in areas with high hygiene requirements. They offer durability, safety and wear resistance. They are designed to be used in areas where there is a risk of falling and slipping, such as warehouses, production lines, garages and other facilities. These floors consist of epoxy resin and aggregates that give them an anti-slip effect. They can be applied to the prepared base in the form of impregnation, coating, self-casting and mortar screed.

2

Epoxy floors are extremely durable and wear-resistant. When combined with aggregates, they become slip resistant, making them a safer choice for industrial facilities. Anti-slip epoxy floors are also resistant to chemicals and liquids, making them ideal for use in environments with chemicals and other liquids. This type of flooring is extremely suitable for use in areas where flammable and explosive materials are stored.

3

In addition, anti-slip epoxy floors are easy to maintain and hygienic. This type of flooring does not allow the development of bacteria and other microorganisms, which is important in environments for the production of pharmaceutical products and especially in areas for the production and processing of food (HACCP standard EU). Anti-slip epoxy floors are easy to clean and do not require special maintenance treatments.

4

Anti-slip epoxy floors are also aesthetically appealing and can be adapted to the various needs of industrial facilities. They can be used in different colors and patterns to adapt to the design of the facility. These floors are also available in different thicknesses and can be tailored to the specific requirements of the facility.

In short, anti-slip epoxy floors are the ideal choice for industrial facilities that require safety, durability and wear resistance. These floors are easy to maintain and hygienic, which makes them suitable for use in food and pharmaceutical processing areas. Anti-slip epoxy floors are also aesthetically pleasing and can be tailored to the specific requirements of the facility.

Characteristics of epoxy floors

  • antistatic,
  • acid resistance,
  • wide range of colors (decorative floors),
  • without joints,
  • waterproofing,
  • they don't slide,
  • they are easy to clean and repair.

Production of epoxy floors

Epoxy floors are performed in places that are constantly exposed to wet loads of water, machine oil or other agents, as an anti-slip surface variant.

The anti-slip surface structure is achieved by sprinkling the freshly made epoxy self-leveling floor with quartz sand of the appropriate granulation (consumption approx. 5.00kg/m2) and after removing the unbound quartz sand, the final impregnation of the floor surfaces with epoxy is carried out coating in the appropriate shade according to RAL map.

The thickness of this type of anti-slip floor is generally 3 to 5 mm.
Highest mechanical load and flatness, longevity and high resistance to chemicals while at the same time easy maintenance - these are just some of the requirements that are demanded of industrial floors today.

The joint between the floor and the wall can be made in the form of a holker of different heights and radii, so that floor cleaning is significantly facilitated and maintenance costs are reduced, and the integrated holker - plinth is a very important detail when it comes to floors that need to meet HACCP standards in the food industry and GMP and FDA standards in the pharmaceutical industry.
